Lemonade Diet Recipe
By Cary Bergeron
Did you know that showering every day is not all you need to do to really cleanse your body? The inside of your body is full of toxins that could be draining you of your energy and making you sick. There are a few ways you can cleanse your body internally, through the Master Cleanse, a colon cleanse, Dual Action Cleanse or Free Diet Programs.
The Master Cleanse, sometimes called the lemonade diet, is basically a period of fasting where the only item you eat or drink is a special drink that is made from lemon juice, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, and water. Along with the lemonade drink, those who follow the Master Cleanse diet will do a salt-water flush to cleanse the bowel. The diet is followed for at least ten days to effectively flush the body of toxins.
A colon cleanse is another internal cleansing option. You can find many colon cleansing products available over the counter. When you take the colon cleanser, it will flush all of the toxins out of your bowels. A colon cleanse takes several weeks, and many people continue their colon cleanse for a month or two. During this time, they avoid eating sugary foods so that their bodies can be flushed of the harmful toxins that are making them feel tired and sick.
A final way to cleanse your body from the inside out is through a product called Dual Action Cleanse. Dual Action Cleanse involves two steps, a colon cleanse and a total body cleanser. The main difference between Dual Action Cleanse and any other colon cleansing product is the total body cleanser supplement, which not only aids digestion, but also boosts the function of other important body parts, such as the lungs and the skin.

Master Cleanse Diet Review - Why's, Do's and Dont's
Lemonade Diet Recipe
By Linda Mie
Avid dieters in the world should have known the definition of Lemonade diet a.k.a Master Cleanse diet. In a nutshell, it's a diet that require you to drink lemonade drink, tea and salt water in order to cleanse your body from toxins and eventually fat.
Since it's a diet that requires fasting, many dieters have vouched against the master cleanse diet. Most of the reasons behind this hatred against master cleanse diet are:
1. You will just lose water weight not fat. 2. Your body will lack severely of nutrition. 3. You will probably gain your weight right away after your fasting period is over.
However not all dieters are created equal. For some dieters, like me, weight loss is a matter of life and death in some situations. Sometime we need to get slim quick in order to save our faces in community events or other personal reasons. That's why this fasting diet is still popular although many dieticians have vouched against it. Few people understand that weight loss is sometimes we want to trade with short term suffering.
Beyonce Knowles herself has undertaken this diet in order to get her shaped up for Dreamgirls filming. And with Beyonce telling Oprah that she used this diet, this diet is getting more and more popular.
So I began my fasting in accordance with the diet, and although it was hard but I experienced 10 pounds decrease in approximately 2 weeks.
Here's the Do's and Dont's for master cleanse diet.
Do's:
-Eat raw vegetables and fruits if your hunger is unbearable.
-Eat a little supply of carbohydrate twice in a week fasting. (Baked potato, brown rice, sushi)
-Drink your laxative tea in the night regularly.
-Drink approx 4 glasses of water everyday. You need water to make sure you don't face dehydration.
-Use freshly squeezed lemon juice.
-Focus on cleansing your body from toxins and weight loss will come naturally.
Dont's:
-Drink the saltwater beverage that the diet requires you to. The reason is that the saltwater can threaten your body metabolism by forcing you to excrete more water. Laxative tea is already enough.
-Undertake heavy exercise that force you to sweat a lot.
-Drink the lemonade two times more than you drink the water.
-Mix this diet with cabbage soup diet or other fad diet.
-Eat high sugary snacks during the diet.
-Focus on losing weight during the fasting, you will end up starving yourself more than ever.
-Eat too much after your fasting period. Adjust your eating portion gradually.
-Don't do this diet for more than 2 weeks without resting.
By following the do's and dont's that I mentioned above you should be able to succeed in the master cleanse diet. And always remember that the purpose is to cleanse your body, don't worry about weight loss. It will come naturally together with the cleansing.
Good luck and happy dieting!

Beyonce Swears by It: This Program Works for Weight Loss and Cleansing
Lemonade Diet Recipe
It is gaining popularity in leaps and bounds and although I heard about this program way back in 2000, I never would have foreseen that it would one day be something that almost anyone in holistic and alternative living would know off AND actually use.
It’s known as the Master Cleanser (aka Lemonade diet) and even R&B singer; Beyonce, is in on the program as she reportedly used the Lemonade fasting recipe to shed weight while filming the upcoming movie: Dreamgirls.
Nonetheless, I am of the firm belief that the author or maker of this recipe-the late Dr. Stanley Burroughs-never had any intentions of having this program being seen as a shortcut to a rapid weight loss. Quite the contrary, even though you will inevitably lose the pounds, the goal here is more for cleansing and detoxification, rather than just losing weight quickly or rapidly.
So without further ado, I share the recipe with you so you too can try it out for yourself:
* 2 Tbsp lemon or lime juice (approx. 1/2 lemon)
* 2 Tbsp genuine maple syrup (not maple flavored sugar syrup)
* 1/10 Tsp cayenne pepper (red pepper) or to taste
* Water, medium hot (spring or purified water)
Combine the juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper in a 10 oz. glass and fill with medium hot water. (Cold water may be used if preferred.) Use fresh lemons or limes only, never canned lemon or lime juice nor frozen lemonade or frozen juice. Use organic lemons when possible.
The author suggests that you drink a laxative tea both morning and night or use the salt water wash that he recommends in his program in the morning with the tea at night.
From my experience, the best tea to use will be the “Smooth Move Tea” and for the salt water wash, here are the guidelines:
Prepare a full quart of lukewarm water and add two level (rounded for the Canadian quart) teaspoons of uniodized sea salt. Do not use ordinary iodized salt as it will not work property.
Drink the entire quart of salt and water first thing in the morning. This must be taken on an empty stomach.
The salt and water will not separate but will stay intact and quickly and thoroughly wash the entire tract in about one hour.
Now, coming of the fast is also an important phase that should be approached with caution, I laughed out when I read that though Beyonce may have used this program, she reportedly went on a binge feast of junk food to gain her weight back.
Well, I don’t know if that is true, but if it was, that is a No, No!
That can be very dangerous and I am quite sure that even if she did, she would have been wise enough to have at least observe the steps provided in the program on how to prepare the body for solid food to avoid any hassles.
The steps are to drink fresh squeezed orange juice for a day or two after the master cleansing period and on the third morning, have some orange juice in the morning, a mono-meal of fruit in the afternoon and a salad (or preferably more fruit) in the evening.
Then on the fourth day, it is advised that a Mucus-less or Mucus poor diet (which consists of raw and/or properly cooked fruits, roots, leaves and occasional-less harmful whole grains, nuts and seeds…if desired) be adhered to for maintenance.
Also ensure that you:
1. Get as Much Fresh Air as possible.
2. Get as Much Rest as Possible
3. DON'T use microwaves...at all.
4. Avoid negative mass media and suggestions.
5. Don't overexert yourself, at least not till you feel up to physical activities
6. Don't break a fast with just any food...fruits are your best bet.
Well, Beyonce swore by it, Robin Quivers, Howard Stern’s long-suffering sidekick says it made her drop from 218 lbs to a svelte 145 pound-figure and I have tried it to success, so it does work.
At least it can’t hurt and could help immensely my friend.
Either way, here's to health

The Truth About The Master Cleanse Lemonade Diet
Lemonade Diet Recipe
By Chuck Bluestein
This is also called the master cleanser lemonade fast. It is very popular now. Beyonce lost 20 pounds in 10 days with it and Robin Quivers (Howard Stern's assistant) heard about it from magician, David Blaine. She lost 73 pounds with it. There are many testimonials of people losing weight and getting other benefits from it. But there are also complaints about it.
Many people have practiced fasting including Jesus, Moses, Aristotle, Mark Twain, Hippocrates and many medical doctors. Because of this, it has been constantly improved upon. But because the lemonade diet was created by one person, Stanley Burroughs, it has attracted many people who are afraid to improve on it or change anything about it. It is like fasting since they are not eating food and consuming water, which is the main ingredient in the lemonade. So they get many of the benefits of fasting like losing weight. The lemonade diet recipe contains water, freshly squeezed lemons, maple syrup and cayenne pepper.
People experienced with fasting know that you do not have to worry about the colon. Fasting gives it a vacation and it becomes healthier than ever. With the lemonade fast people lose weight and get health benefits from not eating. But there is a practice done as part of it known as the Salt Water Flush where you drink water with a lot of salt in it. This has generated many complaints. I tried it once but never again because I felt sick after doing it.
People complain how the taste of it. They complain about wanting to vomit after doing it and other problems. It consists of drinking salt water which does not get digested but goes thru and comes out the same way that solid waste comes out. Also they complain how you have to be home with easy access to the toilet since this stuff can come out very quickly. The purpose of doing it is to cleanse the colon. When I did it, I did not know what is bad about it and wanted to see if it really did that and it did. Some complain that it does not happen with them.
Now these people do not know why it goes through undigested. The reason is because it is very toxic. It does not take much salt, which is not a food, to kill someone. A guy dissolved 4 ounces of salt (112,000 mg) in a quart of water and drank it and it killed him. A quarter pounder is 4 ounces. The American Medical Association is trying to get the FDA to make salt a regulated substance so they can limit the amount that is put in foods. If someone wants, they can use an enema to clean the colon. They are used in hospitals daily.
If someone consumes no salt for 2 weeks, they can lose up to 20 pounds (mostly water weight). Salt has no calories but can make you fat since it causes you to retain water. Water weight makes you look very fat and weighs a lot. Also consuming less calories and burning lots of calories has no effect on this weight. Also people doing the master cleanse will drink a laxative tea which can be too strong and cause intestinal cramping. Stanley Burroughs is dead so he can not correct mistakes that he made so it is up to others to do it.
Already some who are followers of this lemonade diet have made minor improvements like replacing maple syrup with agave (a natural sweetener from a cactus) and taking the cayenne in a capsule or a shot glass instead of it being in their lemonade. Dr Herbert Shelton (ND, DC) supervised fasts on 40,000 people. On the first 6,000 he had all of them take enemas. But then he learned that in most cases you do not need to worry about the colon and the rest were done without enemas or with anything to address the cleaning of the colon.
